The price listed is for a standard software repair.  We will fix your software problem and return your Explorist 510 - 610 - 710 to original Factory Specifications

The opening image is a service image that the Magellan Explorist displays when the internal memory is corrupted.  We receive many units with this service display.  It occurs when users format their GPS or use Hostile Software.  You could be discarding a GPS that may be repairable. This repair will require us to complete reflash the GPS; however, we alert that Programs will be lost as will your data.  This repair will include installing a new World Edition Map and the necessary Summit and City Maps that came with your Factory Unit

To clarify .. a USA 510 only comes with the World Edition Map, a 610 USA comes with the World Edition map + the USA Summit Map, a 710 USA comes with the World Edition Map + the USA Summit and City Maps.

NOTE: OUR SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS WILL EMPHASIZE THAT WE DO NOT WISH YOU TO SEND US THE GPS UNIT IN ITS RETAIL BOX.  WE WILL BE RETURNING THE UNIT TO YOU USING USPS PRIORITY (DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL MAIL).  THIS TYPE OF PACKAGING DOES NOT ALLOW ENOUGH ROOM TO INCLUDE THE RETAIL BOX.
